Based on ethnographic research with scientists at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History (Washington D.C.), I collected and synthesized various workflows for collecting genetic samples and voucher specimens from across the different departments of the museum (Division of Birds, Botany, Invertebrate Zoology, Mammals, Entomology, the Biorepository and Informatics Department among others). The workflow graphics I created became part of the Smithsonian's first standardized Genomic Collecting Manual in 2015. |
